Funding support
Disabled people in Aotearoa New Zealand receive funding through different channels.

Peer to peer supports
Peer to peer support from people who are knowledgeable about the specific disability you are navigating can be hugely beneficial. Many of these groups and charities have support meetings that, when you are ready, can also be supportive and reassuring.

VIPS - Equity In Education Info Page - public page that is regularly updated with latest news and info about disability, and inclusive education. VIPS regularly host informative 'Lunch Hour Korero' events online where they host speakers on a range of topics. Their closed group to share experiences and participate in discussions about inclusive education. This is an NZ wide page.
Sharing Carers Christchurch - this private group is dedicated to finding good support people to care for our loved ones in the Christchurch area. You can advertise for someone or keep an eye on the posts from carers who are looking for a support worker. To join the group email ireneandrell2020@gmail.com.
